• Business details such as your company name, role, and the type of accounting help you are looking for.
• Booking details you submit when scheduling a call or interview.
• Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.
• For accounting professionals featured in the marketplace: profile information such as name, photo, video, work experience, software skills, rates, and related materials.

Information collected automatically includes basic usage and device data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps, along with information from cookies (see the Cookies section below).

Information from third parties includes data from our service providers (for example, authentication, scheduling, and payment providers) that help us operate the Services.

We use personal information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including the marketplace and matching experience.
• Create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
• Facilitate introductions, bookings, and interviews between businesses and professionals.
• Communicate with you about your account, bookings, and support requests.
• Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Services, primarily to keep you signed in and to maintain your session securely. These essential cookies are required for the Services to function and cannot be turned off through our site.

We do not currently use cookies for advertising or to sell your information. If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide any consent choices required by law. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may affect how the Services work.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services:

• Between marketplace participants: when you express interest or book an interview, relevant details are shared between the business and the professional to facilitate the connection.
• With service providers: vendors that host our platform, manage authentication, enable scheduling, and process payments, who may access information only to perform services for us.
• For legal reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of OAT, our users, or others.
• In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We use trusted third-party providers to deliver the Services, including hosting and infrastructure, database and authentication, scheduling, and payment processing. These providers process information on our behalf under agreements that require appropriate protection and limit their use of the information.

OAT is based in the United States, and the accounting professionals featured in our marketplace are primarily located in the Philippines. As a result, personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the Philippines. We take steps to protect this information consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you specific rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in the “Information We Collect” section above (identifiers, professional or business information, internet activity, and similar) for the purposes described in this policy. The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
